The Zero Percent Credit Card Game, How to Save Money With Your Zero Percent Credit Card

Before we start the game there are a couple of things we need to do first. We need to get our spending under control. I use Zero percent credit card loans to pay down principle on my investment or home loans.
It is important to set up auto pay on our charge card. If we miss a payment then we will not be jumped up into the high interest rate and we will not be charged a penalty. If we end up in the regular charge card interest rate and pay just one late penalty the work we did to save money with the Zero Percent Credit Card Interest Game has been wasted.
Do we have more than one Zero Percent offer? This is important because as the first offer expires you will want to be able to transfer your remaining balance to another Zero card. Otherwise we will be hit with a high interest rate loan.
How long does the Zero percent offer last? Sometimes you will get an offer that is good for over twelve months. Some of the offers are only good for five to nine months. Longer is definitely better. If it is less than six months I might use it for a backup offer but not to start a ZPCC Game.
How much are the up front fees? This is important because a 3% fee on the whole amount (let’s say we borrow $ 12,000) is $ 360 but if the card has a maximum transfer charge of $ 50 that is a huge difference. If there is a 3% charge on the whole amount of the loan I will probably not use the card. It is too expensive to start the game.
Does the card have a Zero Balance now? This is important because if you are carrying a balance on the card before you take out the Zero loan you will be paying interest on the previous balance for the whole time you have the zero loan out. All of your payments will go to pay off the zero loan first. The interest on your previous balance will be added to your balance and you will pay interest on the interest also.
I use a ZPCC loan to pay down my highest interest rate loan or any loan I cannot deduct the interest from my taxes first.
A Simple Look At Making Money From Hobbies

Is It Possible To Earn Money From Hobbies?
Out of necessity, many people are finding ways of making a living from hobbies. Some are able to successfully supplement their earnings while others end up spending money on materials to produce products that never sell. This is especially true within the scrap booking community. You might feel somewhat anxious to earn money and there are definitely approaches that you can use to prevent losing your shirt.
Be Honest With Yourself
Before you try to earning money from your hobbies and interests, you seriously need to be truthful with yourself. You definitely do not want to lose cash before you begin. Ask yourself if you would actually shell money out of your own pocket to buy what you plan to create and sell. If you would, consult your friends and family members but explain that you are not expecting them to buy it; just that you value their viewpoint. Seriously consider their thoughts and move from there.
Make Product Samples
As long as you do it right and realistically, earning money from hobbies such as scrapbooking is fairly clear-cut. You need to have product samples to supply to prospective customers. Prevent the mistake of developing ten things that are the same. Make at least one or two samples of each item that you want to market. This will cut down on potential losses in case your products don’t sell.
Being Knowledgeable About Your Marketplace
You positively need to know your marketplace well if you are planning to try earning money from hobbies. Let’s say you sell pre-made scrapbooking pages, you’d probably have a better chance at marketing them to women as opposed to single, young men. You have to ask yourself these 3 questions. Who’s going to make use of the product? Would you want this? And above all, who’d buy this? Not understanding your target customers, you will probably be losing profits rather than making a living with hobbies and interests.
Marketing And Advertising
If you don’t advertise or market your products, you will never make money from hobbies and interests. Be careful though, that you don’t waste your hard- earned money by advertising and marketing in the wrong place. It is wise to begin promoting in free classifieds, free on-line classified web-sites such as Craigslist and on economical auction sites like eBay. This way in the event that your products doesn’t sell, you won’t be out very much money.
Make sure to thoroughly explain in your advertisement that you are taking requests for the product. Include the turnaround time so your buyers will know when to expect their purchase. You might even consider providing a “tailor made” or “individualized” version of the merchandise by altering the embellishments or colors. You will have a better chance of making money from hobbies such as scrap booking if you can personalize your items according to the needs of the buyer.
Last But Not Least: The Bottom Line
Monitoring how much you spend and earn are things to consider once you start making money from hobbies. Keep all your invoices and records and pay very close attention to the details. Remember, any kind of revenue must be documented for the Internal Revenue Service. You truly don’t want them to come after you…. do you? Making money from hobbies and interests can turn around and bite you if you do not do everything by the book.

Making Money From Your Scrapbooking Hobby

Scrapbooking takes time and effort. There is a learning curve involved before most people are really skilled at putting together the various elements into a pleasing scrapbook page. For some people this is something pleasing to learn as a hobby. They will learn by experimentation and accept failure as it happens. For others, there simply isn’t the time to invest in learning this beautiful hobby. That doesn’t mean they do not want a remarkable presentation of their cherished photographs within a scrapbook.
If you have the time and experience of putting scrapbooks together then you might consider advertising your services for others, either as your primary occupation or as a side line to existing at home work. There are several ways that you could operate such a business.
A website is essential. Through a business website you can show and suggest available layouts and themes for both pages and entire books.
How customers order particular items will depend upon your billing system.
How will you know what photos to use? Customers can upload to your site or email the photos they want used to you, indicating the order in which they wish them to be used. Or else you may wish to make the option available to people to use their own photographs, mailing the set to you. In this case you would likely offer a minor price decrease because you would not have to print them yourself. You should also emphasize that any mailed photos could be lost. Remind customers to send only duplicate photos.
Materials used will include the pages themselves; any die casts and special papers, as well as the photographic paper. The costs for these will need to be covered with the fee you charge.
A fee for your own time spent will also need to be added.
Once the layout is completed and any books are assembled, you would email them back to the customer. Here again they would perhaps have the choice of shipping options.
A variation on the traditional scrapbooking is digital scrapbooking where all layouts and themes are chosen in digital format and any images and other graphics are added all within an image manipulation program. Software such as Photoshop and GIMP work well for these kinds of functions, however you may have to purchase the royalty free graphics you wish to use on your sold items.
This option is more flexible than traditional scrapbooking because you may either choose to print the completed pages and ship them to the customer as the pages are assembled into a book (at a cost to the customer) or you may simply send them in digital format to the customer. Such delivery would often be via email and would significantly reduce costs to both you and the customer. It would also mean the customer would receive their scrapbook pages sooner.
A great deal of customer interaction may be needed to ensure that you are confident of what the customer wants from your service. If you have a flare for design as well as good customer service skills you may find you can make a living from this hobby.
Make Money From Arts, Craft and Hobby Activities – Could I Do That?

Hobbies, arts and crafts are normally activities scheduled for out-of-work hours. I like to refer to them as extra-curricular activities. They are those things that we do because we want to, as a relief from the everyday grind and because we enjoy them. We spend our time and our money undertaking activities and creating tangible pieces from our area of interest. We even take courses on our hobby or craft topic so that we become proficient at our chosen craft. Over time we not only master the hobby, art or craft but we usually excel at it because we are free to exercise our creativity in ways that would be considered a waste of time if we did it for a job. We admire our successes and share them with people, and either hide, laugh at, or reprove ourselves at our efforts on the less than admirable pieces. Pieces which become less in number as we gain experience with our medium of choice.
If you counted the hours of time you have spent and the amount of money involved in achieving a standard that you are proud of, what do you think that would total? How about the stockpile of things you’ve either done for other people or things that you’ve given away to them. Your experience has become valuable when other people want your services or products from a hobby, art or craft. It shows that you have reached a standard others consider worthy. But the question is, is it worthy enough for them to pay you for it and do you consider yourself competent enough at it to charge money for it.
Turning an extra-curricular activity into something you can make a profit from is no easy task, unless you have people beating down you door with demands for it. However, there are a number of ways you can turn a hobby into a commercial venture. Avenues are available for connecting paying customers with your ‘hobby/art/craft’ product.
You can attend the craft fairs and weekend markets. This gets your inventory, designs and skills out there and in front of people who may buy, recommend or order from you. You can have an exhibition and display your wares for the weekend to let people know what you have on offer. This provides an opportunity for people to see the range of things you have already done and what you are capable of doing. You can create a website that provides a ‘show and tell’ environment displaying your wares electronically initially. This means that you can display your items and provide possible examples as well as advise on the things you are able to create for them, depending upon demand.
If you have reached a standard you are proud of and would like a return on your investment in a hobby, art or craft consider reaching a consumer base with these avenues and turning a profit from a pleasure.
Make Money From Your Hobby – By Writing About It!

If you are better than the next person at your hobby, then you have a salable product – your knowledge. By writing a ‘how to’ or ‘best ways to’ instruction report or e-book, you can easily convert your passion to dollars.
Write it all down!
Because of your intimate knowledge of the topic, writing a short e-book about it will probably take no time at all. And there’s nothing fancy needed to call your document an e-book. All you will need to do is to convert a word processing file into .pdf (portable document file) format. There are free pdf converters available online, and once installed, all you need to do is hit your “print” button, and select the pdf program rather than your printer. A pdf file will be created for you to save to your hard drive.
Build yourself a website – it IS easy!
The key to making money or getting it distributed widely, is to tell the biggest possible audience about your skill, and that is where building your own website will be invaluable. And building a website is so easy nowadays anyone can do it.
You see, in the past building a website was a fairly technical process, but not any more. There is no need to have any knowledge of html – that language code formerly used to enter data into websites. With the top website building programs around these days, you simply enter your information just as you would using a word processor.
By building your own website you will have the means at your disposal to discuss your hobby with a worldwide audience. If you follow all the hints and suggestions that are offered by the better website building programs, search engines will deliver your site to people who enter your hobby name into their search boxes.
On your site you can have a general discussion about your hobby, together with some suggestions that might position you as an expert in that field. It’s a good idea to go through the process of establishing a contacts page so that you can begin to compile a database of people who contact you through your site. These people will become your ‘list’ – the people to whom you will eventually target to buy your e-book.
Features of your eBook or Newsletter
Find a particular facet to your hobby and take the time to turn it into a short book, together with pictures and diagrams, and links to related sites. With current site building software packages you can even include audio and video instruction as well. Don’t include all the information you have – save that for future books. Then make the most of every page in your website to promote your e-book.
Write Some Short Articles
In order to drive people to your site, it is a good idea to write a few short articles about your hobby and submit them to some free publishing websites like http://www.ezinearticles.com. People impressed with your articles will visit your website for more information, and there learn of your e-book.
People looking for related content for their websites may even take your article and publish it (with links to your website) on their own sites. This is a great way of driving traffic to your virtual door. Writing for the internet is easy, and its very rewarding to see your work published so that the rest of the world can read it.
Join Clubs and Online Forums
Contribute online to websites where feedback or chat is encouraged about your website. By doing this you will become acknowledged as someone with worthwhile information to give – having confidence in the writer is a key motivator to purchase. It’s a good idea to let any clubs (worldwide) with a connection to your hobby know about your website. Ask them to put a link to yours on theirs – this can be a reciprocal arrangement.
Keep the Price Low
Don’t put too high a price on your report or e-book – it is better to have 500 x $ 5 sales than 10 x $ 50 sales. Obtaining the details of purchasers for your database will is an added benefit for direct sales of future products.
Grown and Learn
As your small business grows, you will find the added features in good website building software programs – designed with internet marketers in mind – will help manage other ways of generating revenue, by including advertisements and affiliate programs on your website.
Tell the world about your hobby, and of your expertise in the area. Share that knowledge and start a small home-based business at the same time.
Become Rich With Hobbies That Make Money

Everyone has a hobby, and everyone wants to make money. This is a bold statement, but most people are probably in the above category. With unemployment reaching absurd levels, many people are scratching their head asking “How can I make money?” The answer may be right before their very eyes. Solomon has said “There is nothing better for man than that he should eat, and drink, and take enjoyment in his toil”. Do what you love, and love what you do. A hobby could be defined as the work you do for fun and enjoyment after you work for money. Wouldn’t it be great if you could combine the best of both worlds? Many people do have hobbies that make money.
There are some famous people who have had hobbies that make money. They turned their passion and skills into something that not only made them rich, but also would benefit humanity. Thomas Edison loved to experiment, and because of his passion to invent and discover the mysteries of life, this world is a better place. The Wright brothers had a hobby of inventing the airplane, and it was a consuming passion that evolved into the airline industry. Bill Gates turned his hobby of working with computers into Microsoft, and became the richest person in America. Walt Disney had a hobby, he enjoyed making drawings, and he converted that passion into a business that would make his name legendary.
Many people have hobbies that they don’t consider turning into a money maker. Bill, down the street may like tinkering with cars on the side, and Jim two blocks over enjoys fixing things around the house and making it into a veritable showplace. Ann enjoys working on arts and crafts that she displays around the house, and sometimes gives as gifts. Carol enjoys sewing and makes her own clothes and handbags. Greg enjoys playing the guitar and composing music and writing songs. Tiffany enjoys making her own jewelry. These people all love what they do, but they don’t have hobbies that make money.
America is bursting with people who have hobbies that make money, sometimes big money. Charles Atlas was a health enthusiast and turned that passion into a very profitable business. Jack Lalanne was also a health enthusiast who came after Charles Atlas and took it to the next step, and has motivated many people in the process. Napoleon Hill has said “Don’t search for opportunity in the distance, but recognize and embrace it right where you are”. Many people have taken their talents to levels some only dream about. Mozart was a child prodigy whose hobby was composing music. He offered his talent to the world and became one of the greatest composers ever. Peter Mark Rogert had an interesting hobby of categorizing and listing things. His hobby eventually became what most writers consider invaluable, Rogert’s Thesaurus.
Everyone has something that they enjoy doing that may be valuable to someone else. We may not be the next Jack Lalanne, but we can all benefit from his inspiration to be the best we can be by working with what we have. The abundant life is there for those who want it.

Making Moolah Tip # 1: Small Reports Writing. If you like to play with words and do the writing thing, then you’re going to never run out of work when you position yourself as a writer of small reports. These reports are 7 – 15 pages long on the average and many website owners selling, say, a home study product will use the small report as a lead generator. This report is sometimes given out free and it presells the potential customer of the benefits that can be found in buying the full length product.
If your passion is teaching the piano or maybe you’re more into racing horses, you can sign up at Scriptlance.com, Guru.com, or Elance.com and start bidding for writing assignments pertaining to your hobby interest. Another thing you can do is simply locate these website owners via Google by searching for the hobby phrases and let them know you can write these small reports for them in exchange for money. The sky’s the limit here.
Making Moolah Tip # 2: Yahoo Answers. This is a place where tons and tons of people go to get answers to their burning questions such as “How can I take the best care of my hamsters?”, or “Where can I buy the best scrapbooking supplies online?” If either or both of these hobbies interest you, you answer the question and cash in. You’re probably wondering how you actually make money, right? Well, let me tell you right away.
If you have your own product, you can put a link in your signature that leads to your website. When your answers are read by others, some will click on your signature link and – wham! Caching. Caching. If you don’t have your own product created, then you can sign up under the affiliate program of product vendor. Get a promotions link which tracks your sales. For every sale you make, you get a commission. Just be careful on Yahoo answers not to add your link to every question you reply to or else you will get banned. Be sure to give, give, give, give – without adding ANY link before you do add one. Makes sense?
Making Moolah Tip # 3: Information Publishing. People spend all kinds of monies for their hobbies no matter what is happening in the economic world or even the state of their own ability to really pay for an item. If it makes them happy to buy foreign language books to teach themselves a different language a year, then nothing is going to stop them from spending more money on their passions.
So, why not be the one to cash in on their buying frenzy. You know how rabid of a buyer you are when it comes to your own passions and interests. Am I correct? What you will do with information publishing is to sell your own created product in the hobby market, of course and make a profit. You can create mini-ebooks, audio, videos, etc….The world is your oyster here in the realm of the possibilities. It all starts with a basic web page and a button that says “Buy Now.” You can do this.
In this article, we talked about three tips on how to make money with your passions, your hobbies, and/or your favorite past times. Tip 1, Writing Small Reports for website owners. Tip 2, Replying to questions on Yahoo Answers. Tip 3, Selling Hobby Information for a profit. It’s now up to you to take the bull by the horn and get things rolling, pronto, pronto!
